AMS has released a new GreenStar™ 2 2600 software enhancement update. This software enhancement will only impact customers harvesting with row crop heads.
Below is addition details on who will benefit from this software update.
As we continue to improve our products, John Deere AMS will be releasing a new GreenStar 2 2600 software update in late September 2010. This update will enhance all GreenStar 2 2600 displays harvesting in row crop applications (corn heads). The following items have been found in the current software version
- Recording files on the data storage card is causing the card to fill up 30% faster
- Users are experiencing longer download times into Apex when unloading the data storage card files into Apex
- When a user views a field that was harvested with the current 10-2 software version in Apex the field display time is delayed
- Any user exporting shapefiles or csv files out of Apex will experience file sizes twice the size of previous field versions
- Any user that is harvesting in row crop applications with a corn head this fall using a GreenStar 2 2600 display
- Any user exporting shapefiles or csv files from Apex
- Any user that will be using a 3rd party software to analyze data from the GreenStar 2 2600
- Any user looking to utilize product enhancements in the software update (see release notes for product enhancements).
- Any user not using their GreenStar 2 2600 display for harvesting in row crop applications.
- Any user not exporting shapefiles or csv files from Apex.
