Apex Post Calibration by Harvest Date

Note: This tool should only be used for Harvest Doc Grain Data. Harvest Doc Cotton Post Calibration functions correctly in APEX.

Apex's calibration by Harvest Date for grains is reversed. Entering in a higher calibration number should decrease yield, but it increases yield values in Apex. The opposite will occur where a lower calibration number should increase yield, but decreases it. The cotton calibration is correct. To get the yield maps to look correct, use the CalFactor Calculator to generate a calibration number that will make the yield maps look right.

Apex's calibration by Harvest Date

NOTE: The Post-Calibration by Harvest Date feature will be fixed to work correctly in Apex 1.5, which is scheduled to be released before spring of 2007.

With the release of Apex 1.5, the yield maps will be incorrect because of the modified values entered using this tool with APEX 1.3 and 1.4. After updating to APEX 1.5, to insure the data is correct, you will need to re-enter your original cal factor and new cal factor for each field.

AMS will release more information about reconverting these factors before the release of APEX 1.5
